A major victory is announced today by the United American Committee in the UAC's fight against Al-Jazeera's planned English language network, Al-Jazeera International. The UAC has been relentlessly engaged in a fierce campaign against the network through various methods including sending thousands of letters to U.S. cable providers demanding denial of carriage to Al-Jazeera International, and the UAC has even protested in front of the networks new DC studio. Today all the hard work by the UAC has paid off; Al-Jazeera International launched throughout the world this morning, however their bid for the American market has been abandoned as they announced that they were unable to secure carriage with any cable or satellite providers in America. The UAC has won the battle, but the war against Islamist propaganda continues.
